Hey, Hannah here,
What is life? What is it about birth or holding a new born in your arms that is so remarkable? When I look at nature, at a new born, or see people smiling true sincere smiles, or when someone I care for is weak, vulnerable or at a low, one word that comes to mind is "life".
Scientists say that life is the ability to feed, move, reproduce, to sense changes in environment and respond to stimuli, to be able to pass out waste, to respire and to grow. To me that is the definition to the word "life" but life, as in life in its artistic form or its true self holds so much more meaning than that its more significant than simply the ability to grow. It's about feelings, the little things, being yourself, love.
Life is beauty, it's moments of strength, moments of weakness, moments of nothingneness; where everything is pointless and everywhere looks bleak, and moments of everything; where everything is perfect, when you have this feeling in your chest that you don't understand but it still feels right, its those moments we cherish and the ones we'd rather forget. It's moments with family and moments alone. It's just that, moments.
I'd love to tell you that life is beautiful, but its not it's nasty, horrible. I'd love to tell you that you'll never have a bad day, but you will, you'll have tons of them. I'd love to say that people are perfect angels without a mean bone in them, that's not true, no one is perfect, everyone makes mistakes. I'd love to continue sugar coating everything, telling you that life is perfect, that my life is perfect. But God knows it's not. This is a wakeup call. Life is not perfect, its horrible, its a string of bad days, it's full of people who make mistakes but some how it still manages to be breathtaking.
It's not perfect but its still amazing, there are still beautiful, dare I say, almost perfect moments, its a load of bad days but there is a bunch of good mixed into it too, there will be on-top-of-the-world days and there will be I-wanna-stay-in-bed-before-I-kill-myself days, people may be horrible but they can be good too, you will learn to love and cherish the most important people in your life no matter how many mistakes they make.
Sounds stressful, yes? Well that's life, there's good, there's bad there's the middle, there's black and white and a whole load of greys in between. That's just life, live it, love it, conquer it, make a difference in it, learn from it and most of all accept it. Don't question it, there will always be mistakes but don't judge it. Just let it be.
